Service to people is a pride worthy job: Dr Khalid

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 24, 2025(BSS) - Religious Affairs Adviser to the interim government Dr AFM Khalid today said that service to the people is a pride worthy job.

“Health is the root of all happiness and it is very important to keep our health well,” he said while inaugurating a free medical camp at Babunagar High School ground at Satkania upazila here. Nure Habib Welfare Foundation organized the medical camp.

Presided over by the Chairman of the foundation Associate Professor of the law Department of Chattogram University Sayeed Hassan Khalid and Health Secretary Md Saidur Rahman addressed the function as special guest.

“We can keep ourselves as healthy and free from diseases by leading disciplined life taking balanced food and following health routine,” Dr Khalid said. 

He assured the people of the area for setting up a medical centre at Babunagar under government management to give medical services to the local people.

Health Secretary Saidur Rahman said everybody should follow the health guidelines to remain healthy. 
“We have to work hard physically and encourage our children for sports,” he said adding that we should walk regularly for our better health. 

A total of 85 doctors including 48 specialized physicians gave treatment to nearly 2500 local people at the camp where they treated patients and provided medicines to them free of cost.     
         
Among others, Director of the health of Chattogram division Dr Wang Sui Pru Marma, Civil Surgeon of Chattogram Md Jahangir Hossain, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Milton Biswas and Secretary General of Nure Habib Foundation Nayeem Ahsan Talha, addressed the function.
