Tarique Rahman stands by July uprising injured Lemon

DHAKA, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stood by July uprising injured Lemon, a resident of Bogura.

Lemon, a class nine student, was injured in firing by law enforcement forces during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Bogura.

At the directive of Tarique Rahman, 'Amra BNP Paribar', a cell of BNP, provided financial assistance to Lemon for his treatment at a function at Paddapara village under Gabtali Upazila in Bogura district. 

Convener of the 'Amra BNP Paribar' and Member of the BNP Media Cell Atiqur Rahman Rumon attended the event as the chief guest while General Secretary of the Bogura District Swechasebak Dal Rakibul Islam Subho, former student leaders Hasanuzzaman Polash, Mahbubur Rahman, Sajedur Rahman Mohan and AHM Nurul and Convener Committee Member of the Dhaka College Chhatradal unit Abdullah Al Bisbah attended on the occasion.

In his speech, Rumon said, "We have come on behalf of Tariq Rahman, also chief patron of the 'Amra BNP Paribar', to provide financial assistance to Lemon who was injured in the July uprising."

"Apart from Lemon, a wheelchair has also been given to a crippled person," he added.
