RAJSHAHI, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS) - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has said the cohorts of the ousted fascist regime are trying to destabilize the country with huge investment, but their dreams will not be materialized.

"Awami League allies are spending a huge amount of money taken out of the country for the purpose of making the country unstable," he said while talking to the journalists before attending a workshop.

The Ministry of Home Affairs organized the workshop titled "Law Enforcement with Emphasis on Human Rights and Environment in the Country's Changed Situation" at the conference hall of the Primary Teachers Institute here today.

The IGP said they are trying to control the law and order situation, giving the highest importance to human rights. Notorious criminals are being arrested in the 'Operation Devil Hunt.'.

He said the interim government launched the 'Operation Devil Hunt' with an aim to curb unrest and ensure public safety across the country.

Illustrating the scope of the operation, he said the operation would focus on detaining individuals who threaten the nation's stability and will continue until all the devils are brought to justice.

"The 'Operation Devil Hunt' will carry on until every devil is held accountable," he clarified.

IGP Baharul Alam has asked all his subordinate colleagues to make the ongoing 'Operation Devil Hunt' successful for the sake of building crime-free societies.

"We have to come forward and work together to attain the cherished goal of ensuring peace and safety everywhere in society," he reminded them.
