DHAKA, Feb 24, 2025 (BSS)- Chief Adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam has said many people were killed extra judicially during the regime of Sheikh Hasina.

He said this while unveiling the cover of a book written by journalist Mashrur Shakil at Adorn Publication at Ekushey Book Fair here.

Alam said Awami League has set a shameful history for Bangladesh through killing many people out of the judicial process.

There happened more than 450 extrajudicial killings in 2018, he said adding the book is a document how journalists in Bangladesh have covered those incidents.

Alam said the book that published today was very important in the context of journalism in Bangladesh.

“This is a difficult task. This work was done by Mashrur Shakil. This book should be taught in all the universities in Bangladesh that have journalism departments,” he said.
