Fakhrul mourns death of ex-minister Noman

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of party's vice-chairman, former minister and valiant freedom fighter Abdullah Al Noman.

Hearing the news of the death of the veteran leader, Mirza Fakhrul and other senior leaders of BNP rushed to his residence at Dhanmondi.

The BNP Secretary General prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rivzi and former adviser (cabinet minister) to the Caretaker Government Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman was present on the occasion.

The namaz-e-janaza of Abdullah Al Noman will be held in front of BNP central office in Nayapaltan here after Asr prayers today.

He will be laid in eternal rest at his ancestral village at Gohira family graveyard at Raozan upazila in Chattogram district after another namaz-e-janaza.

"Noman suddenly fell ill at his Dhanmondi residence early this morning and he was immediately rushed to Square Hospital, where the on duty doctor declared him dead around 6 am," BNP Chairperson's Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said.
