CA mourns ex-minister Abdullah Al Noman's death

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today expressed deep shock 
and sorrow at the death of former minister and valiant freedom fighter Abdullah Al Noman.

In a condolence message, the Chief Adviser said Abdullah Al Noman was a talented leader in 
Bangladesh politics and he was a heroic freedom fighter in the great Liberation War in 1971. 

He said Abdullah Al Noman remained active in politics from the early sixties and till his last breath. 

As an active politician of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Noman was elected as a member of 
parliament three times from the Chittagong-9 constituency , Prof Yunus said. 

Noman, he said, served as the minister in the ministries of fisheries and food of the Bangladesh 
government. Outside the political spectrum, Noman was revered by people of all parties in Chittagong, 
he added. 

The Chief Adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and convoyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
