BOGRA, Feb 28, 2025 (BSS) – The much-awaited Regional Center of National University (NU) in Bogra has been inaugurated today.

The Vice-Chancellor of the National University, Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah, inaugurated the regional office this morning.

Later, at a function marking the inauguration, Dr. Amanullah said, “We have given due emphasis to
Bogra as the district has long been neglected during the last government’s regime. With the opening
of this regional center, now the NU students won’t have to take trouble to go to Dhaka or Rajshahi to
get academic and administrative services.”

Sounding a note of caution, the NU Vice-Chancellor said, “Stern actions, even leading to the
dissolution of a college governing body, will be taken if found involved in irregularities.” Dr. Amanullah
added that steps are being taken to change the existing obsolete curriculum and syllabi to better equip
students to meet the needs of the day and enhance their value as professionals in the global market.

Dr. Amanullah said, “Massive reform efforts are on to curb corruption and irregularities and to free the
National University from being politicized by some vested quarters”.
