Court discharges Mirza Abbas, Aman, 43 others in 2 cases

DHAKA, Dec 17, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today discharged 45 BNP leaders and 
activists, including standing committee member Mirza Abbas and chairperson's 
adviser Aman Ullah Aman, in two separate cases filed with the city's Paltan 
and Shahjahanpur Police Stations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehedi Hasan passed the order, allowing the 
discharge petitions filed by the defence, Mirza Abbas's lawyer Mohiuddin 
Chowdhury told BSS.

Other prominent persons discharged include Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdullah Al 
Noman, Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Saiful Alam Nirob, Habib-un-Nabi Khan 
Sohel, Ishak Sarkar and Khandaker Enamul Haque Enam.

The two cases, filed in early 2013, involved allegations of obstructing law 
enforcers and hurling cocktails.
