DHAKA, Dec 17, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman was ecstatic to
be part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the first time in his Indian
Premier League (IPL) career.
"Hello KKR fans. I am Mustafizur Rahman. I am very happy and excited to be a
part of the KKR team. See you soon," Mustafizur said through a video message
posted in KKR's social media handle.
KKR secured Mustafizur's services for a whopping INR 9.2 crore, making him
the highest-paid Bangladeshi player in IPL history at the mini auction, held
in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday night.
Adorably called as Cutter Master, Mustafizur broke his own record of INR 6
crore from the previous season with Delhi Capitals.
This will be Mustafizur's ninth season in the IPL, but the first time he will
be playing for Kolkata. Over his previous eight seasons, he has played for
five different teams and taken 65 wickets in 60 matches, maintaining an
economy rate of 8.13 runs per over.
Currently, he's playing in the IL T20 for Dubai Capitals, where he has taken
six wickets in four matches at an economy rate of 8.33, proving that he has
been in good form ahead of the IPL.
