DHAKA, Mar 12, 2025 (BSS) – The government of Saudi Arabia has set 15 years as the minimum age for Hajj pilgrims this year.

The decision was taken considering the safety and security of child pilgrims, according to a press release of Religious Affairs Ministry.

All stakeholders have been asked to take necessary measures regarding the matter. The age will be calculated from the date of birth mentioned in the pilgrim’s passport, the release added.

The letter further mentioned that a registered child pilgrim, who is 15 years old, or a guardian accompanying a child pilgrim, can replace a pre-registered pilgrim if applicable.
