Notification of appointment of 8 new advisers fake: CA press secretary

DHAKA, March 12, 2025 (BSS) - The news spread on Facebook regarding appointment of eight new advisers to the interim government is fake, Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said here today. 

“This is fake and fabricated,” he wrote on his verified Facebook account.

Earlier, an unnamed notification of appointment of eight people as advisers was spread on Facebook with a date of March 8, 2025. This notification says that eight people have been “made effective for oath” as advisers to the interim government.

Later, the Press Secretary said this notification is a fake one.

The interim government, led by Professor Muhammad Yunus, was sworn in on August 8. The council of adviser currently has 23 members.
