1,635 cases filed against vehicles for traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Mar 13, 2025 (BSS) - The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,635 cases against motor vehicles for violating traffic rules in the capital. 

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bring traffic system under proper management, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman said.

According to a press release issued here today by the DMP media and Public Relations Division, the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases on March 12 through regular drive against traffic rules breakers.

The DMP release said that 235 motor vehicles were dumped and 74 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
