1.47 lakh children to get vitamin A-plus capsules in Chuadanga on March 15

CHUADANGA, Mar 13, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 1,47,930 children under five years will be fed vitamin A-plus capsules on March 15 in Chuadanga district. 
 
On the day, the campaign will be conducted in four upazilas and the campaign will conduct in 906 centers in the district.

Blue color high powered vitamin A capsules will be fed to children aged between 6 months and 11 months and Red color capsules will be fed to children aged between 11 and 59 months, according to civil surgeon Dr. Hadi Zia Uddin Ahmed at a press conference here today.  
He said, “After every 6 months vitamin ‘A’ campaign is held. 

Vitamin A prevents blindness in children, ensures normal growth, reduces all types of child mortality by 24 percent and significantly reduces mortality from measles, diarrhoea and pneumonia.
