The National Consensus Commission, led by Chief Advise Professor Muhammad Yunus, began its activities on February 15 with the aim of building a national consensus on the recommendations of the reform commissions. That day, the first meeting of all political parties, including the BNP, with the National Consensus Commission was held at the Foreign Service Academy.
After that, the Consensus Commission sought the opinions of 39 political parties on the important recommendations of the Constitutional Reform Commission, Public Administration Reform Commission, Electoral Reform Commission, Judiciary Reform Commission and Anti-Corruption Commission. 34 parties presented their opinions, with which the commission is now holding separate meetings.
The commission has already completed the initial stage of discussions with 15 political parties. And the third stage of discussions with the BNP is currently underway.
