Army hosts iftar for war-wounded freedom fighters, uprising injured

DHAKA, March 13, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Army has arranged an iftar and dinner programme in the honour of war-wounded freedom fighters, families of martyrs from the BDR massacre, and those injured during the July Mass Uprising.

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the event as the chief guest at the Sena Malancha in Dhaka Cantonment, said an ISPR press release.

General Waker-Uz-Zaman exchanged greetings with the Liberation War Affairs Adviser, Chief adviser’s special assistant for Security Affairs, war heroes, families of martyrs from the BDR massacre, and those injured during the July Mass Uprising and inquired about their condition.

More than 400 war-wounded freedom fighters, family members of the martyrs from the BDR massacre, and heroes of the July Mass Uprising took part in the iftar mahfil.

Officials of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, higher army and civil officers also attended the programme.
