383 criminals detained in joint drives from March 6 to 13

DHAKA, March 14, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Army units from various infantry divisions and independent brigades in separate joint drives alongside the members of different law enforcement agencies across the county from March 6 to 13 have detained 383 criminals, including listed extortionists, robbers, muggers, abductors, juvenile gang members and drug traders.

Different arms and ammunitions including three pistols, one revolver, two one-shooter guns, crude bombs, local weapons including machetes and knives were recovered from their possessions, an ISPR release said.

The detainees were later handed over to the concerned police stations after necessary interrogation.

Bangladesh Army members also joined fire fighting and rescue operations alongside the members of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence during a couple of fire incidents in the country.
