DHAKA, March 16, 2025 (BSS) – Iranian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mansour Chavoshi met Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin at his office at Bangladesh Secretariat
today.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to bilateral interests, improvement of bilateral relations and boosting trade and investment.

The Commerce Adviser said that the bilateral trade volume is still less compared to the capacity while both the countries have huge export potentials, said a
Commerce Ministry press release.

Mentioning that improvement in trade relations would benefit further in the two countries, Bashir urged Iran to invest more in Bangladesh’s agri-farming sector.

Iranian Ambassador in Dhaka Mansour Chavoshi said that Iran is a friendly nation of Bangladesh while the bilateral trade relations are yet to get a solid foundation although the people of both the countries have strong bonding in culture and religion.

Mansour said Iran now wants to strengthen further its trade relations with Bangladesh.

Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Vice Chairman Md Anwar Hossain were present, among others, on the occasion.
