IU forms probe body to find teachers’ played opposing role in July uprising

ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, Kushtia, March 16, 2025 (BSS) - The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia today formed a five-member probe body to investigate the opposing roles of teachers and officials in the July uprising at the University.
 
An office order signed by Acting Registrar Professor Dr Manjurul Haque confirmed.
 
The five-members probe body led by Professor Dr Aktar Hossain of Al-Hadith and Islamic Studies department was formed with Deputy-Registrar Mizanur Rahman Mazumder as member secretary.
 
Other members of the committee are- Professor Dr Rafiqul Islam of Arabic Language and Literature department, Professor Dr Abdul Gofur Gazi of Islamic History and Culture department, and Professor Dr M Minnatul Karim of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering department.
 
IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah formed the body to identify the teachers and officers and employees who played an opposing role in the July-August Movement at the University.
 
The probe report of the committee has to be submitted to the Vice-Chancellor’s office by the next 60, the notice mentioned.
 
Convener of the committee Professor Dr Aktar Hossain said, ‘I have received a letter from the administration regarding this. I will try to complete the work within the stipulated time along with my fellow members.’
