Justice Zinat Hoque made chairman of SC Legal Aid Committee

DHAKA, March 17, 2025 (BSS) - Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque has been appointed 
as the Chairman of the Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee, Supreme Court 
sources said here today.

A memorandum of the Supreme Court signed by the Registrar of the High Court 
division Muhammad Habibur Rahman Siddiqui on March 13 said that Chief 
Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed has nominated Justice Zinat Hoque of the High 
Court division as the chairman of the Supreme Court Legal Aid Committee.

Kazi Zinat Hoque has been appointed as the 5th Chairman of the committee that 
has been working since 2015 under the supervision of the National Legal Aid 
Service Organization. The committee has been providing legal assistance under 
government expenditure to the insolvent justice seekers of the country.

The Supreme Court Legal Aid Office so far provided 25,509 legal advices to the 
insolvent justice seekers.
