Shrine vandalism will not be tolerated in any way: Rizwana

DHAKA, March 17, 2025 (BSS) - Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan today warned that any attack on shrines will not be tolerated in any way.

"We are observing that one kind of anarchy is going on in the name of mazar vandalism...the government wants to warn that it will not allow the vandalism of shrines in any way," she told a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy here.

Rizwana urged all to refrain from such acts, saying otherwise the government will take hasher legal actions against those involved in the attacks on shrines.

Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul and Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam were also present at the press briefing.
