DMP files 1555 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, March 19, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police's 
(DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1555 cases in a single 
day across the capital for violating traffic rules.

This information was confirmed in a press release issued here 
today signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and 
Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police 
Muhammad Talebur Rahman.

It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and 
realized fines during March 18 through regular drive against 
traffic rule breakers.

The DMP release said that 219 motor vehicles were dumped 
and 69 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against 
traffic rules violation.

It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will 
continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to ensure smooth 
movement of the city dwellers through proper traffic 
management.
