DHAKA, April 6, 2025 (BSS) - Dr Sheikh Moinuddin today joined as Special Assistant to interim government's chief adviser with the status of state minister and executive authority over the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges.
His appointment was made through a gazette notification issued on March 5, 2025. During his tenure, he will hold the status of state minister and receive equivalent salary, allowances, and benefits.
Dr. Sheikh Moinuddin has an extensive career background, having served as the chief of safety and operations at the California Department of Transportation since 2023. Prior to this, he worked as a Project Manager at the same department.
Dr. Moinuddin holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Louisiana University, a Master's degree in the same field from California State University, and a PhD in Infrastructure and Environmental Studies from the University of California.
Dr. Moinuddin will be carrying out his official duties from the Setu Bhaban office in Banani.
