DHAKA, April 21, 2025 (BSS) - The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted today rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely over some districts across the country as seasonal low lies over the South Bay for the next 120 hours commencing from 9am today.

"Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chattogram or Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Barishal divisions", said Meteorologist Shahnaj Begum of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the release added.
 
The rainfall activity may increase at the end of period, according to Met office's outlook for next five days.

Today's sunset at Dhaka would be at 06:23 pm while tomorrow's sunrise here would be at 05:31 am.  
                                                                                         
The Met office recorded maximum temperature of yesterday (Sunday) as 36.7 degrees Celsius at Khulna in Khulna Division while today's minimum temperature as 20.6 degrees Celsius at Nikli in Dhaka division added the release.
