Met office forecasts dry weather

DHAKA, May 07, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted that the weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country during the next 24 hours, beginning from 9:00am today.

It also forecast rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

Day temperatures may rise by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius, and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country. Heatwave may sweep at places over the country, said a BMD bulletin this morning.

The highest temperature recorded Tuesday was 36.5 degrees Celsius in Baghabari in Rajshahi division. The lowest temperature recorded today was 21.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:30pm today and rise at 5:20am tomorrow.
