Met office predicts dry weather

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecasted that weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country.

It also predicted that rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division.

 According to the BMD bulletin, mild heat wave is sweeping over Khulna division and the district of Sirajganj and it may spread.

Day temperature may rise by (1-2)øC and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.

The highest temperature recorded Wednesday was 36.8 degrees Celsius in Khulna and Chuadanga district. The lowest temperature recorded today was 19.8 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:31pm today and rise at 5:19am tomorrow.
