Country to move ahead if children are imparted with quality education: Bidhan

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - Primary and Mass Education Adviser Professor Dr Bidhan Ranjan Roy Poddar has said the country will move ahead towards a better future if the children are imparted with quality education.
 
“Children have scopes to learn moral and behavioural characteristics along with literacy in primary school. Children can learn these qualities perfectly if there is existence of a good relationship between students and teachers,” he said.
 
The adviser said, “Our target is that children will be able to understand their mother tongue well, express their thoughts, speak   write, and understand mathematical language- addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.”
 
He made the remarks at a seminar on quality primary education with the coordination of primary education officials, guardians, teachers and students at PTI auditorium in capital’s Mirpur.
 
A total of 50 teachers, students, guardians and education officers took part in the day-long seminar.
 
Directorate of Primary Education director general Abu Nur Md Shamsuzzaman and Compulsory Primary Education Implementation Monitoring Unit director general Taslima Akther, among others, addressed the seminar with Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md Masud Rana in the chair.
