30pc more land dev tax collected this year: official

DHAKA, May 8, 2025 (BSS) - Due to digitization 30 percent more land 
development tax has been collected this year compared to the previous year, 
said Senior Land Secretary ASM Saleh Ahmed.

He disclosed the information in a preparatory meeting to observe Land Service 
Week-2025 at the meeting room of the Land Ministry today.

Ahmed said determining and collecting land development tax is the basic task 
of land management. Among these two tasks, determining land development tax 
(rent) is very important but it is quite boring.

Other senior officials concerned were present.
