Ex-MP Kazim Uddin arrested in city

DHAKA, May 15, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested former lawmaker from Mymensingh-11 (Bhaluka) constituency Kazim Uddin Ahmed Dhanu from the city's Aftab Nagar area early today.

He was arrested from Aftab Nagar area at around 3:05 am today by Jatrabari Police following intelligence information, Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrest.

Kazim was arrested in a murder case filed with Jatrabari Police Station on August 26, 2024.

Kazim is also accused in four other cases filed in connection with the killing and attack during the anti-discrimination movement.
