DMP bans protest, gathering on some roads in city

DHAKA, May 18, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all forms of gatherings in some areas of the capital.

The decision, announced in a statement on Saturday, signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.

According to the statement, the ban will be effective in the areas adjacent to Kochukhet Road, Bijoy Sarani, the Chief Adviser's Office (CAO), Birsreshtho Shaheed Jahangir Gate, BAF Shaheen College, Mohakhali Flyover, Sainik Club intersection, Bhashantek, Matikata and ECB Chattar.
