JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, May 20, 2025 (BSS) - The authorities of Jahangirnagar University (JU) appointed Professor Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam as the new chairman of the Mathematics department.

An office order signed by JU acting Registrar ABM Azizur Rahman confirmed the appointment today.

The authorities of Jahangirnagar University appointed Professor Dr Mohammad Nazrul Islam as the new Chairman of the Mathematics Department from June 1 to next 36 months' term as per the section 9 (1) of Jahangirnagar University Act 1973, according to the office order.

Prof Nazrul Islam is replacing the outgoing chairman of the department Prof Dr. Jasmin Akhter.
