DHAKA, May 26, 2025 (BSS) – The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) announced special admission facilities for the family members of those martyred or injured in the historic student-led July-August mass uprising.

These privileges will be available during the admission process for first-year undergraduate programme under 2024-2025 academic session, said a DU press release here today.

The decision was taken recently at the deans' committee meeting of the university, it said.

According to the decision, the spouse, sons and daughters of gazetted martyred or injured individuals will be eligible for the special facilities. If there is no spouse or children, the benefits will be extended to the victims' siblings.
