BNP delegation visits world's largest electric vehicle manufacturing firm in China

DHAKA, June 26, 2025 (BSS) – A delegation of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)  has visited the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer – BYD – in China.

BYD is currently one of the largest employment generating companies in the world.

The company directly employs about one million people and it is playing a leading role at the international level in not only manufacturing electric vehicles, but also producing lithium battery, setting up rail communication and constructing monorail. 

On Wednesday, the BNP delegation, by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, passed a busy time on the third day of their visit.

The nine-member delegation comprised of BNP standing committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman and AZM Zahid Hossain.

BNP chairperson's advisory council members Zahir Uddin Swapon, Ismail Jabiullah and Prof Sukomal Barua, along with BNP media cell convener Maudud Ahmed Pavel, also joined the delegation.

The nine-member high-level delegation has been visiting China since last Monday, said a post published on Facebook page of BNP media cell.
