DHAKA, June 26, 2025 (BSS) – The Supreme Court has set Sunday (June 29) for delivering order on the review petition filed against the much-discussed gazette of the service disciplinary rules for lower court judges.

An Appellate Division bench led by Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed set Sunday as the date for the order after the review hearing.

Lawyer Mohammad Shishir Manir moved in favour of the review petition in court today. Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman appeared for the state.

Earlier, former Chief Justice Surendra Kumar (SK) Sinha had objected to the rule before the gazette was published and sent it back to the law ministry.
