DHAKA, July 1, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka & Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Khulna, Barishal Chattogram & Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Monday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius in Srimangal under Sylhet Division, while today's minimum temperature was 24.2 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

The sun sets at 6:50 pm today and rises at 5:15 am tomorrow in the capital.
