July uprising, a milestone for justice, democracy: Sharmeen

DHAKA, July 1, 2025(BSS) - Social Welfare, Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid today said that the July uprising was a milestone for justice and struggle for establishing democracy in Bangladesh.

“July uprising was the turning point of the historical changeover of Bangladesh and showing the path of Bengali society against injustice and corruptions,” she said while taking part a discussion in memory of July revolution at her ministry conference room here.

Among the July warriors-Umama Fatema, Nusrat Haque, Kotha, Koli, Saima and Abdur Rahman Nabin joined the discussion.

Recalling the martyrs and injured fighters of July revolution Sharmeen S Murshid said the government has been working for restoring satisfaction among the common people by removing women and children repression and anarchy from society. 

She said the July uprising was an initiative for making dream in building new Bangladesh where there will be a reflection of justice, democracy, social equity and cultural victory.

The July warriors during their deliberations have expressed their firm commitment to build an equal, consolidated and autocracy free human Bangladesh with the spirit of July uprising.
