DHAKA, July 9, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called on the Adviser for Cultural Affairs and the Adviser for Law to arrange advanced medical treatment for acclaimed Lalon Sangeet singer Farida Parveen, who is currently undergoing treatment at Ayesha Memorial Hospital in the capital.

Fakhrul visited the ailing artist at the hospital today and inquired about her condition. Expressing concern over her health, he urged the two advisers to arrange proper medical care. 

Farida Parveen is widely respected for her lifelong contribution to preserving and promoting Lalon's spiritual folk music.
