DHAKA, July 9, 2025 (BSS) – National Consensus Commission held a meeting with the Election Commission (EC) at it conference room on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the progress of the implementation of the urgent tasks of the recommendations made by the Election Reform Commission on the election system reform, said a National Consensus Commission release here today.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) MM Nasir Uddin, Election Commissioner Brig Gen (retd) Abul Fazal Mohammad Sanaullah and EC’s senior secretary Akhter Ahmed joined the discussion on behalf of the Election Commission. 

Consensus commission vice-president Professor Ali Riaz along with commission members Dr Badiul Alam Majumder, Justice M Emdadul Huq, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Safar Raj Hossain, Dr M Aiyub Mia and special assistant to the Chief Adviser Manir Haider were also present at the time.
