16 police officers transferred

DHAKA, July 9, 2025 (BSS) - In a major reshuffle, the Home Ministry today transferred 16 senior officials of Bangladesh Police.

Five of them are additional deputy inspectors general (Add'l DIGs), 10 superintendents of police (SPs) and one additional superintendent of police.

The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman today in this connection.

According to the notification, among the Additional DIGs, Rebeka Sultana was posted to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from Police Headquarters, Faisal Mahmud to Sylhet Range from Sardah Rajshahi, Md Ashraful Islam to Police Headquarters from Anti-Terrorism Unit, Dhaka, Faruk Ahmed to Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Headquarters from Police Headquarters of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU), and Md Mizanur Rahman to Traffic Division, Dhaka from Special Branch (SB), Dhaka.
