CA mourns loss of lives in Indian bridge collapse

DHAKA, July 9, 2025 (BSS) - Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep condolence at loss of lives caused by Gambhira bridge collapse in India.

In a condolence message sent to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi today, the Chief Adviser said: "I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of lives caused by Gambhira bridge collapse in the State of Gujarat."

On behalf of the interim government and people of Bangladesh, and on his own behalf, he extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the people of India.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their beloved ones. I wish all the injured full and early recovery," Prof Yunus wrote.
