RUET holds poster presentation competition

RAJSHAHI, July 10, 2025 (BSS) - A poster presentation competition on 'Efficiency Pioneers: Time Study Challenge' was held at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) on Wednesday.

Department of Industrial Production and Engineering (IPE) at RUET organized the day-long competition aimed at flourishing the latent talents of students on the issue.

Vice-chancellor Prof SM Abdur Razzaque attended the closing and prize-giving ceremony as chief guest with Chairman of the department Prof Mosharraf Hossain in the chair.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Abdur Razzaque said such a type of competition will play a pioneering role towards exploring innovative thinking of the students together with building a research-based academic atmosphere.

Illustrating the objectives of the competition, Prof Mosharraf Hossain said many of the relevant companies are using these presentations of the students on a pilot basis. Ultimately, the companies will be able to enhance their productivity through utilizing the technologies.

He also said such types of events will be supportive to flourish the competence of the students.

This type of event will continue in the future for boosting innovative competence and finding out solutions to problems of the students, Prof Hossain added.

In the competition, many of the IPE students took part, splitting into 12 groups presenting realistic prototypes related to identified problems of production line and way-out of those.

Time management, production capacity and analytical thinking power were the salient features of the competition.
