Moderate to heavy rain likely across country

DHAKA, July 10, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Meteorological Department today forecasted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely to occur at most places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning. 

"Moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," read the bulletin, adding, "Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country."

The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in Dimla under Rangpur Division, while today's minimum temperature was 21 degrees Celsius in Madaripur.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:50pm today and rise at 5:19am tomorrow.
