Two students expelled, 1,039 absent from HSC exams under Jashore board

KHULNA, July 13, 2025 (BSS) - The 7th day of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination under the Jashore Education Board (JEB) passed off peacefully today.

Two examinees were expelled from the Physics second paper examination for adopting unfair means, a board source said, adding that the Accounting and Logic second papers were also held today.

A total of 1,039 students were absent, and several vigilance teams consisting of teachers and magistrates visited different centres.

JEB reported that on the 7th day, 38,721 out of 39,760 students appeared in the examination at 240 centres of 575 colleges.

JEB Controller, Professor Dr. Abdul Matin, told BSS that the 7th day of the examination was peaceful. The authorities had taken all possible measures to conduct the examinations in a free and fair manner.

Two examinees were expelled at centres in Bagerhat and Jashore today for adopting unfair means during the examination, he added.
