DHAKA, July 14, 2025 (BSS) - Films will be screened at Bangladesh missions abroad with the participation of remittance fighters to mark the July Mass Uprising.
The decision was taken at a meeting held in the conference room of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, chaired by the ministry's Secretary Mahbuba Farzana.
Films titled 'Mothers of July' and 'Journalist of July' will be shown under the programme 'Mothers of July', while guardian rallies will be organized at all Deputy Commissioners' offices across the country.
The films 'BDR Massacre' and 'Spotlight on July Heroes' will also be screened at prominent locations nationwide, including the capital Dhaka. Additionally, 'Sada Jobba: Lal Rakta' will be shown at the Jatrabari intersection.
Several other films -'July Anirban', 'July Women', 'Private University in July', 'Dhaka University Protest Days', 'Dipak Kumar Goswami Speaking', 'Abrar Fahad', 'Enforced Disappearance', and 'BDR Massacre' - will be screened at public and private universities across the country.
Moreover, films 'Cultural Paradigm Shift' and 'July Anirban', a TVC on Buddha Purnima, and special July-themed songs will also be displayed at various locations.
Films commemorating the July Mass Uprising will be screened at schools across the country.
Sufi music sessions and doa mahfils will be held at various mazars across the country, including in the capital.
Books compiling selected reports on the July martyrs will be published, and a reception will be arranged for the families of six journalists who lost their lives during the July Uprising.
A storytelling event titled 'Stories of July Warriors' will be hosted at the Shilpakala Manch.
Postcards featuring images captured between July 14 and August 5 will be distributed at various rallies, allowing people to write their reflections on them.
National newspapers will publish special supplements on August 5.
