Prayers, tree plantation held marking July Uprising Day

DHAKA, Aug 5, 2025 (BSS) – On the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day 2025', a series of programmes were organized today by the Road Transport and Highways Division and the Roads and Highways Department in capital's Tejgaon area.

A special prayer and doa-mahfil were held after Zuhr prayers at the mosque adjacent to the Sarak Bhaban in Tejgaon seeking forgiveness for the souls of the martyrs and speedy recovery for those injured during the historic uprising.

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser ?(Rank of State Minister) at the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges Sheik Moinuddin attended the event as the chief guest. 

Following the prayer, Moinuddin inaugurated a tree plantation programme in front of the Sarak Bhaban.

Senior Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division Md Ehsanul Hoque, along with high-ranking officials from the ministry and RHD were also present at the events.

As part of the 'July Remembrance Celebration 2025', Moinuddin and Ehsanul later visited a voluntary blood donation campaign organized by the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA) at the DTCA Bhaban in Tejgaon.
 
DTCA Executive Director (Additional Secretary) Neelima Akhtar was also present there.
