Faruk-e-Azam mourns death of Lt. Col. (retd) Ziauddin

DHAKA, Aug 06, 2025 (BSS) - Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Bir Pratik, today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of educationist, valiant Freedom Fighter, former chairman of Chattogram Development Authority (CDA), and Principal of Presidency International School, Lt Col (retd) Ziauddin, Bir Uttam. 

In a message of condolence, the adviser said Lt Col (retd) Ziauddin, Bir Uttam was an ideal man and a true patriot. His role in the country's Liberation War and progressive politics is exemplary.

The adviser prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Lt. Col. (retd.) Ziauddin, Bir Uttam died of old-age complications at 4:30 pm yesterday while undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital in Chattogram. 

He was 83.
