DHAKA, Aug 6, 2025 (BSS) - Classes resumed at Milestone School and College in Uttara today, 15 days after an aircraft crashed into the educational institution.

Students from the college wing (grades 9 to 12) arrived on campus wearing uniforms, and classes began as usual at 8:30 am, said Milestone's public relations officer Shah Bulbul.

Earlier, the students participated in a prayer session organized last Sunday, seeking eternal peace for the departed souls of students, teachers, and guardians who died in the aircraft crash, as well as the speedy recovery of the injured.

On July 21, an Air Force fighter jet crashed into Milestone School and College in Diyabari, Uttara.

So far, 34 people, including children, have been killed in the incident. Many of the burn victims are still undergoing treatment in hospitals.

Meanwhile, counseling services are being provided to students suffering from mental trauma at a counseling centre set up on the Milestone campus.

The aim is to help students recover from the trauma so they can focus on their studies. In addition, teachers and guardians who witnessed the aircraft crash up close are also receiving counseling.
