CVASU Day celebrated with jubilation

CHATTOGRAM, August 7, 2025 (BSS) - The Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) Day has been celebrated today with full of exuberance on the campus.

To mark the day, the university authorities held various programmes.

A colourful procession led by CVASU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman was brought out on the campus in the morning. Teachers, students, officials, employees and alumni joined the procession.

Followed by the procession, the Vice-Chancellor cut a cake in front of the university's administrative building. 

At 10am, the 'Shikshabarsh Samarambh' program was held at CVASU Auditorium for the students enrolled under the 2024-2025 academic year. 

Education Adviser Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar virtually addressed the event as chief guest.

Bangladesh Open University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Obaidul Islam spoke at the inaugural function, among others.
 
Prof. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar cautioned freshers to enjoy the university life responsibly.

He noted efforts made by parents in upbringing their children with a dream to enjoy a bright future. 

"I think you will try your best to fulfil your parents' dreams. You will study attentively. You will be guided by your own conscience," said the Adviser.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam, CVASU Student Welfare Director, presided over the function.

CVASU founding Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nitish Chandra Debnath and former Principal Secretary Md. Abdul Karim and Habiganj Agricultural University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Sayem Uddin Ahmed among others addressed the function.
