DHAKA, Aug 10, 2025 (BSS) - The four-day 56th Director General (DG)-level
border conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security
Force (BSF) of India will hold from August 25 to 28 next at the BGB
Headquarters in the capital's Pilkhana area.

representatives of various border-related organizations will also participate
in the conference.

This year's conference will focus on preventing border killings, push-ins and
illegal infiltration, preventing smuggling of drugs, arms and ammunition and
other contraband from India.

Apart from these, implementing various developmental activities within 150

construction, preserving the banks of the border rivers and realizing a fair
share of the water of the border rivers, taking joint initiatives to
implement the Integrated Border Management Plan will be prominently discussed
in the upcoming conference.

Initiatives will also be taken to defuse the tension created on the border
due to the recent anti-Bangladesh propaganda in the Indian media.

Bilateral issues and issues related to border interests between the two
countries will be discussed.

The BGB-BSF DG-level conference was held in Delhi last February.

In continuation of this, the BGB-BSF conference will be held in Dhaka this
time.

In this conference, the BGB will prioritize the interests of the country and
