DHAKA, Nov 26, 2025 (BSS) – The National Lawyers Alliance today demanded a speedy trial in the murder case of anti-fascist advocate Saiful Islam Alif.

The NCP-backed organisation made the demand in a statement issued on the first martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Alif.

In the statement, the organisation said that the allies, beneficiaries and anti-national elements of the fascist forces attempted to create a reign of fear through the brutal murder of Shaheed Alif, but turned boomerang for them.

It may be mentioned that lawyer Alif was hacked to death on November 26, 2024.

He began his legal career at the Chittagong court in 2018 and was later enrolled as a lawyer of the High Court in 2023.
