SYLHET, August 11, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) president Rakibul Islam Rakib today alleged that banned Chhatra League (BCL) activists are still active in Dhaka University halls.

"Activists of the banned BCL are still staying in Dhaka University halls. They are destabilizing the campus through hidden politics," Rakib said.

He made the remarks while inaugurating the JCD council at Sylhet MC College in response to journalists' questions.

Rakib called on the authorities to ban hidden politics by forming law.

He noted that JCD believes in open politics and can take immediate action if any unwanted situation arises.

The JCD council at Sylhet MC College was held after a gap of 21 years with its convener Selim Ahmed Sagor in the chair. The JCD president joined the function as the chief guest.
